Traveling Seniors
Once upon a time we were not traveling seniors, but traveling teens, Cindy with The Grand Tour of Europe at 16, Bruce at 20. In our twenties we were regulars on the European circuit, Cindy more than Bruce, hence her attaining #Century Travel Club goal first. Her 100th country was Mongolia, Bruce’s was Albania.
Our first trip together was June in Paris followed up by family Christmas in Sweden. Christmas was beautiful, cold…very cold , snowy and sunless. Once the glug and God Juls faded were made a run to Monaco, where we financed New Year’s Eve at the #Hotel de Paris with a run of luck in the Casino.
We returned 25 years later to celebrate our anniversary with a little less luck and a lot more splendor.
The eighties were a lost travel decade with young children and young careers. However, once the children found their travel footing in the early nineties, we were all …”all in” on seeing the world.
